Ridiculed..

So, after a long bank holiday weekend at work which I am oh so glad to have behind me, and to have the monies coming my way, the time came to have a good ol' catch up with some close family friends; Penny, Roy, Philip and Sam.

After a few well deserved beers and ciders and about 4 tons of meat, conversation turned towards moustaches. It was made clear that expectations were not running so high for my tache growing frenzy in November. Several jokes were made about eyebrows being longer than my mo, and that there was no hope that I am going to get to twirl up the ends. THE CHEEK!

This has given me a new found determination to raise as much money as possible to ensure that i really do end up with a long, bushy and ridiculously impressive tache. Now I do need to keep this fairly realistic of course, I cannot honestly expect the following..

But it would be nice ;)

I think that I am to believe that this Moustache was part of the 2009 world moustache championships. Now, I really dont think I will be able to grow a world class mo within a month or two. BUT, I'll give it a jolly good go.

This leaves me to remind everyone that I am pushing on towards my target, and the sooner I do so, the sooner I can start cultivating! Click here

Coming up..

What up?

I have some really good posts lined up for this coming week. I have an excellent story about my Great Great Uncle, which will hopefully be accompanied with some photos. I also have some pics from my shift at work today. Whilst everyone was sporting rather tropical themed face paints in support of our Caribbean day I went for something a little different... I will try and grab the photos off the work camera so I can enlighten you all. After all, a picture is worth 1000 words (and with a little luck, a few laughs).

No important Mo related news to report at the moment. I am however a little closer to my target (thanks everyone) I'M NEARLY HALF WAY THERE!!! As mentioned previously though, as soon I reach that target, I won't shave until December 1st, so please continue to donate.

I will try and get around to posting the above posts by mid-week. Wednesday is most likely.

Improvements

Evening y'all. 

Just found this piccie saved on my desktop from a few weeks ago. I cannot remember where I found it.

An improvement, I think you will agree.

Really looking forward to growing my Mo. I am fully prepared with my Moustache comb, my moustachey poster, my moustache decals for my laptop etc.

I guess the only thing left to consider is moustache wax?! I shall leave this to much nearer the time, (probably until mid november) because making plans to wax my tache might be a bit ambitious! Here is to hoping. I must look into the pros and cons of moustache waxing! Some cool styles maybe?

The weather improved today and so did my mood. I dont think the mood was helped by purchasing a Quantum Physics book for uni.. Its gonna be a hard read!

Bad day.

Today is bad.

The weather is bad, my mood is bad, I feel bad and I look even worse than bad. Everything is just bad. On the plus side, I have a cuppa.

Days gone by.

After a long overdue sort-out of my computer (which is still in its early stages) I have sifted through many old, random and, quite frankly, ridiculous photos. The photo that is most appropriate is this one, for obvious reasons!

I do not remember taking this photo, but a tidy tache from 2010. (I know its 2010 because there is a gap where my John Mayer poster was, which I finally received from the US in November last year.)

Next, I enlighten you all with some very old photos of my brother and I. Aren't we a pretty duo!

I miss my room in halls, some golden memories!

Every now and then, one must be reminded that one is, in fact, a nerd.

On a more moustachey note, I have a bit of stubble again, and got told today that I could pass as a Greek or Italian man. Horaayy for looking European! I think?


Oh also, I found an excellent photo of my dad the other day. He is rocking quite the tache from his younger years. I am currently working on finding many old photos of my dad, and other family members. My Great Grandpa had a toothbrush moustache, and was casually rocking it until 98. What a legend :) Photos to follow...

Look prim&proper!

As mentioned in my last post, I made another mo related purchase recently. It arrived today :D

It is a Movember moustache comb. :D EPIC! I seriously cannot wait to comb through my lip bush with it.
